My husband has to go out of town for work a few times a year, so we know first hand what 'extra fees' at the airport are like. Honestly, we use to use the bathroom scale to weigh our luggage, but as many of you may know, there is no accuracy that way what so ever. We get to the airport to find out our bathroom scale was about 5 pounds off. That 5 pounds can make a big difference when fees are involved.
So when we were given the chance to review the Precision Voyager Luggage Scale by EatSmart, we were both excited to try it. I have heard about the EatSmart Luggage Scale before, but wasn't sure how accurate it really would be.
The Precision Voyager Luggage Scale was real easy to use, just strap it to your luggage and press the "on/off" button. Wait for the scale to say 0.0lb's and your ready to weigh your luggage. Within a few seconds after you lift your luggage with the scale, it gives you the weight. But I still had the question of 'how accurate is it?', in my mind.
So I decided to take 2-2lb weights that I have and put them inside of the luggage to find out. If anything was going to prove accuracy, this would be the way to go. So after adding the 2-2lb weights, the luggage was weighed again. To my surprise it was exactly 4 pounds more! Now thats accuracy.
As you can see, the first time I weighed the luggage, it was 10.8lbs, but after adding the 4lbs, it went up to 14.8lbs. Exactly 4 pounds more!
My husband and I are both so impressed with the EatSmart Precision Voyager Luggage Scale, and have no idea how we ever lived without it! No more bringing luggage into to the bathroom for a guesstimate, and no more being blind sided with fees at the airport. Just a nice, relaxing trip.
